Day five

Today the cooking team rediscovered how much twenty four hungry hard working boys can eat! That said; there are always enough food prepared, sweets, biscuits and cold drinks available even for the hungriest of them all (Charlie comes to mind).

After a few wonderfully sunny days, today felt cooler with the wind blowing over the mountain tops but at least the sun was still shining through the clouds. With the fluctuation in temperatures during the day, it is a miracle that all the boys are not under the weather.

The shape of the house changed dramatically over the last few days and the individual rooms were more visible. At the end of day five, there were only two rows to be built in order to fix the roof.

The boys’ work ethic and motivation to complete the house never seemed to seize and were more tangible than ever. What a truly magnificent bunch of Harrovians we brought to Africa!
